TIEE schools serve the full spectrum of student talents

TIEE's four schools are fully certified Non-public Nonsectarian Schools by the California State Department of Education. In addition, one of TIEE's schools, Mt. Helix Academy , has been awarded the highest level of accreditation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Together, these schools successfully educate students across the full spectrum of talent, from students with severe learning and behavior disabilities to students at the highest level of ability and achievement.

TIEE schools achieve because of quality teachers using evidence based methods

TIEE schools are unique because of a commitment to using research validated methods and materials. Our methods are derived from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS), Direct Instruction (DI), curriculum based measurement (CBM), and other practices that have the weight of evidence of effectiveness from systematic, high-quality research.

TIEE schools achieve because of intensive professional training

TIEE provides intensive, ongoing training of its own staff to ensure the highest level of implementation of research based education and therapy methods. We also provide student teaching, teacher internships, and other practicum supervision for teachers, speech/language pathologists, occupational therapists, and counselors, including supervision necessary for the BCBA.

TIEE schools succeed because we evaluate promising methods

TIEE is actively involved in researching promising teaching and therapy methods, which includes providing guidance for the research of master's level and doctoral students. Our schools are lab schools in the finest sense of that tradition.

TIEE schools receive high praise

TIEE's schools have received perennial commendation by certification and accreditation reviewers, knowledgeable professionals, university professors, elected officials, and parents. We are a terrific place for students and for those professionals who want to master their craft.
