AIM HIGH Summer Program – where kids get fluent in academic skills

A catch-up, firm-up basic skills program for 2nd to 6th graders
AIM HIGH Summer Program allows 2nd to 6th graders to catch up by building fluency in basic academic skills. The program is designed for students who are struggling in school and may have fallen behind. Students get an intensive, yet very positive and highly successful program that builds fluency in fundamental reading, language, and/or math skills.

A highly qualified teaching staff
Each student’s program is closely monitored by a teacher, who is experienced in teaching children with special needs and who instructs no more than five students for the session. If your child has trouble starting or finishing school work, makes careless mistakes, or could do the work “if only s/he tried harder,” our AIM HIGH Summer Program is the right place.

FAQs about AIM HIGH’s academic fluency-building program
What is Fluency?
Fluency means that skills can be performed quickly, accurately, and with relatively little effort. Students who are not fluent in basic academic skills often have difficulty in school. Once students are fluent, they love to demonstrate their academic skills and are eager to learn more each day.

How will my child benefit?
Your child will benefit from AIM HIGH fluency training if he or she struggles with school work, has trouble starting or completing work, makes careless mistakes, or could do the work “if only he or she tried harder.”

Why does AIM HIGH get results?
Each child’s program is individually developed and closely monitored by a teacher who is experienced in teaching children with special needs. Each AIM HIGH teacher has no more than five students and can help your child develop fluency in reading, math facts, spelling, writing, social skills, study skills, and those critical organization skills.

Is there an option for afternoon activities?
Mt. Helix Academy’s optional afternoon Summer Camp is a fun program filled with crafts, activities, and sports. The Summer Camp option is available to AIM HIGH Summer Program students from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
