“Get Ready” – a caring school preparatory summer camp for 4.5 to 6 year olds held at TIEE’s Mt. Helix Academy.

Get Ready is a very special summer camp designed to prepare 4.5 to 6-year old children for success in Kindergarten or 1st grade. Two sessions of four or five weeks are held each summer.

Get Ready camp leader is an award winning teacher
The camp leader of Get Ready is our multiple-award winning Kindergarten teacher, Mr. Hanlon. With his guitar in hand and the assistance of his famous puppets, Clifford the dog and Dr. Z, the zebra who is an expert on classroom rules, Mr. Hanlon provides beginning language, reading, and arithmetic lessons to help children get accustomed to learning basic skills in a small group. He teaches young children how to “do school” and, most of all, Mr. Hanlon has a knack for showing his students, even the most timid youngsters, just how much fun school can be. Kids love him and they love school, so don’t be surprised if tears are shed when your child first realizes that there is no school on Saturdays.

Youngsters really grow in just a few weeks
Get Ready has been a school starter program for over ten years and our experience is that parents are really pleased with their child’s gains, whether they have chosen Mt. Helix Academy or another school for their youngster. Either way, Get Ready is a good way to find out about our high-performing school where students truly love to learn.

Schedule
Session I • June 21 to July 23 (Note that July 5 is a holiday and no program will be available.)
Session II • July 26 to Thursday, August 26

Program operates Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Childcare for students enrolled in the program is available beginning at 7:00 a.m. and extends to 6:00 p.m.

Fees
$800 per session. A nonrefundable $400 deposit is due May 1 and the remaining amount is due and payable on the first day of the session. Sorry, but there are no refunds for cancellations after the first day of the session.
