Ms. Collette Cavalier has been a Deputy Attorney General for the state of California since 2005, where she handles felony criminal appeals . She received her B.A. from the University of Oklahoma, graduated magna cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1997 and received her Master of Laws (L.L.M.) cum laude in 2001. In 1997, she was honored by USD’s Center for Public Interest Law and the Children’s Advocacy Institute as both the Outstanding Public Interest Advocate and Outstanding Child Advocate.
For over ten years, Ms. Cavalier has been a member of the Women’s Resource Fair Task Force. She is currently serving her second term as co-chair of the task force. The Women’s Resource Fair provides legal services, social services, medical services, and childcare services, as well as information regarding employment, housing, job training, wellness, and parenting, to battered, indigent, and homeless women in San Diego County.
Ms. Cavalier has two children, Caleb and Maria, both of whom attended and graduated from Mt. Helix Academy. Caleb is now a psychology major at UCLA and Maria attends Mater Dei Catholic High School.
