TIEE faculty members have a conversation with featured luncheon keynote speaker, Assemblywoman Julia Brownley, Chair of California Assembly's Education Committee


Twelve TIEE faculty members gave up their Saturday and joined Executive Director Suzy Fitch at the CAPSES Fall Conference, held at Vista Del Mar school in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 16. In addition, Children’s Workshop Director, Hillary Whiteside, was among the featured presenters.

CAPSES, the California Association of Special Education Schools, featured a variety of important presentations at its day-long conference that varied from legal updates to the analysis of A-B-C data to determine the function of behavior. Hillary Whiteside, Director of TIEE’s Children’s Workshop presented on how to increase pro-social behavior in the classroom. Assemblywoman Brownley give an inspired address on the state of educational reform in California.
