Paid Internship Program: Support Services

We provide quality coaching at an individual’s place of employment

Vocational and Adult Services assists individuals with paid work internships.  Participants in the Paid Internship Program must be at least 18 years old and eligible for Regional Center services.  Our trained professional team provides customized coaching at a 1:1 ratio to build skills and independence necessary to achieve competitive integrated employment.

Paid internships are a collaboration between the intern, the intern’s support team, the worksite, Regional Center, the Financial Management Service (FMS), and Vocational and Adult Services.

Internships typically last one year or until the intern earns a maximum of $10,400 paid at minimum wage or higher. Paid internships typically take place at businesses throughout San Diego County and/or interns can develop a Microbusiness.
